Recently I’ve taken an interest in cake, but I need more tools for baking beautiful cakes. Here are a few things that will help us all make fabulous cakes week after week.
Making the Cake
To start your cake you will need several items to prepare the batter:
- Mixer, either a Bosch or KitchenAid, (you can also use a hand mixer or a Danish dough hook)
- Spatula
- Cake Pans — you will need at least three pans, so order two sets
- Parchment Paper — this is 8″ round parchment paper to fit into the 8″ round pans
Preparing the Cake
- Cake Leveler
- Cake Boards
- Sticky Mat
- Cake Spinner — make sure to get #613 in the 12″ size. The #613 is one piece so the top will not separate if you lift it off the base
