The Best Peanut Butter Energy Bites are full of flavor and texture and help you meet your macros too! Ten minutes and you could be eating some at your house.
A friend first gave me these years ago when I was visiting Canada. The recipe was her version of a traditional protein ball. I’ve modified it a little since then, just adding a little more protein.
The recipe is so simple, you can be eating these in 10 minutes. I do suggest a little restraint if possible because they actually taste a little better after refrigeration.
The trickiest part of making The Best Peanut Butter Energy Bites is to melt the peanut butter and cream it together with the maple syrup. After that’s complete, the rest is a breeze.
Feel free to use any protein powder you prefer. I use Tera’s Whey because it is a pure whey product and I don’t like any sweeteners added to my whey.
Additionally, the only product you might not have at home right now is hemp hearts or hemp seeds. Hemp hearts are nutrition powerhouses that provide all kinds of vitamins and nutrients. They are a great thing to sneak into your snacks for better nutrition. I personally buy mine at Costco, but they are available at Amazon and most grocery stores as well.
If you are gluten-free, you may need to be careful with oats. When in doubt, use Bob’s Gluten-Free oats to be sure you are safe.
Once you have all of your ingredients together, these will come together in about 10 minutes and now you are set with a healthy snack.
